The house was built in 1851 by Asa Tift, a marine architect and salvage wrecker, and became Ernest Hemingway's home in 1931. The house still contains the furniture that he and his family used. San Carlos Theater
The 360 seat San Carlos Theater, built in 1924, is part of the San Carlos Institute, which was founded in 1871 to help the Cuban community in Key West, and offers a variety of entertaining productions throughout the year. It’s the first and oldest theater in Key West, after a magnificent restoration, offers concerts and other theatrical events, and is a multi-purpose facility that serves as a museum, library, art gallery, school, and theater. A 10,000 sq ft film center and multipurpose theater with 35mm projection systems and Dolby Digital surround sound. There is also a 2,500 sq ft lobby with Zabar Café and Sussman Lounge serving gourmet snacks, beer, and wine. The theater, with a total of 300 seats split between 4 screens (the largest with 165 seats), is home not only to movies but also to a wide variety of community cultural events, from jazz concerts to literary lectures, and is available for private events. Truman Little White House
Located in Truman Annex in Old Town Key West and built in 1890 when it initially served as the command headquarters of the naval station during the Spanish American War, and later, World War I and World War II. In 1946 the historic building first served as the winter White House of President Harry S. Truman and a site for the Cold War response by later presidents. Garden area can host over 100, inside house can host up to 94. 3/11

Florida’s oldest continually running theatre. The Key West Players, Inc. has been performing since about 1940, and in their current 150 seat theater since the early '60s. They produce a range of comedies, dramas, musicals, classics, world premieres, concerts, and family programming.
